Hello! And welcome, March. We are very excited you are here for many reasons. First of all, we have a new member of our family, Macho, Drake's new horse. We are so happy he is here and I will post pictures later. We spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Austin catching up on several appointments. Tuesday evening we met with the sonography department to try to get some fun pictures of the baby like the ones we got with Drake. In Odessa, almost every sonogram we had was 3D, but in Austin you have to schedule them differently and pay for them. So, anyway, we went and the crazy baby was breech with the feet and hands directly in front of the little face. Boo! No pictures. We have to try again. I worried all night that I would now require a c-section, but at my dr appointment first thing Wednesday morning, another sonogram revealed that during the night, some somersault action had occurred and the baby is now head down! Thank you prayers. Dr Moreno says the head is heavy so we are likely to not have problems with the breech.

We were also to meet with the midwife on Wednesday but she had to help during a delivery and cancelled. Another reschedule. Maybe we should move to Austin temporarily....

Sunday we begin race season! Charm Dance and Fredericksburg Too will run in the Longhorn Derby Trials at Manor Downs. Will definitely post our win pictures. Hopefully they will qualify for the Derby which is March 21.

ok, I need to prepare for the day of playing outside. Have a great one and look for pictures today or tomorrow.

We, like everyone else in the nation, have been stuck in the house due to the weather. We have all managed to maintain enough control to stay alive and somewhat sane. We were able to see the sun over the weekend, and made a trip to Lake Buchanan. Drake had so much fun fishing and throwing rocks and sticks. In other news, all of our race horses have moved to Ratama Park in San Antonio as of last week. It was very exciting to watch them all load up to begin the season again. They will be stalled in San Antonio but run in Austin and Manor Downs through March and April before heading to Ruidoso, NM. Our first race of the season will be March 7th, so we are getting closer! Also, we are getting closer to meeting Baby McKinney no 2. The third trimester has begun and I will be making visits to the dr now every 2 weeks. By all accounts, we are just 11-12 short weeks away from learning if he will look like Drake. I have finally become convinced that it is, indeed, a girl. So, we will see. I have been frantically making lists upon lists for the things that must be done in order for us to be ready. So far, we have a decent start on a room, but that's about it! We were never convinced that we would have any more children, so we gave everything of Drake's away. We are starting from scratch basically, but all the cute baby stuff is half the fun anyway.

We had a very fun-filled December and first part of January. Drake began swimming lessons and...well... I think the two year old season is upon us. Have definitely had a battle of the wills with the swimming coach. We may take a break for a while and start again after the attitude has been adjusted. We were so lucky that everyone came to our house at Christmas and we spent our first in our new home. We loved it. We mainly stayed home during this time and it has been quite nice. We were able to make to Dallas beat the Eagles last week and hope to see it again on Saturday. In baby news, everything is going as planned. Half way there now and I have officially outgrown everything I own. We will be starting the nursery soon and before you know it, we'll have a baby in it!

Thanksgiving weekend was HUGE for us! We spent the weekend in DFW area, had a delicious Thanksgiving lunch at the Cowboys stadium and watched them secure a victory over Oakland, spent the weekend at The Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, which was so much fun for all of us, especially Drake. Friday night, we had our last horse race of the year at Lone Star Park and Charm Dance won! One more winner's circle picture for the wall. Saturday, we watched Tech and Baylor at the stadium with great friends. Sooo good to see Jodi and Gooch and meet their friends.

Micah and Gary also celebrated big birthdays in November. We were also able to do that at the Cowboys stadium; pretty much has become our second home!!

it has been a long time since my last post. We have been so busy that I can't keep up! However, I will post some pictures very soon. This post is to announce (to those of you who don't already know) that we will be having a baby in May. We are very excited, almost past the yucky sickness, and growing a nice pot belly. Ahh, the joys of pregnancy. I can't wait to decorate the baby's room, and don't worry, we will still have room for everyone to stay. Also, we will NOT be finding out what we are having until D day. We loved that choice with Drake, and so now we'll have another surprise! [you can't change our minds:)]
