It's been a while. We have had a busy busy time lately. We were able to make the World Series game, the first they played in Texas and had a blast! They won that game and it was so much fun. The kiddos dressed up for Halloween and we went to the football game. Then, we quickly went to Colorado for Micah to take a class on embryo transfers. He learned a lot, and the rest of us had a great time as we were hosted by Niah and Aaron and Lincoln. Roger also got to meet Fisher for the first time as we went to Childress for my Uncle R.C.'s funeral. He will be greatly missed but left so many family members and quite a legacy behind. We are gearing up for Thanksgiving, which will be spent in Eldorado with Micah's family and then Christmas! so excited. Drake wants everything he sees on tv. He will hopefully sit on Santa's lap with no tears this year. Fisher went to her 6 month check up and weighs 18 pounds and 12 oz. She is a hoss! She can now sit up, roll over, say mama and dada and will soon be mobile. Her reflux seems to be improving gradually since she started on solid food, which she loves. We look forward to seeing everyone for the holidays and, as always, you are all welcome at the McKinney casa at any time!

i never seem to get the pictures in the right order, but we had Drake's third birthday party over the weekend and had such a good time. we missed a lot of people due to sickness but we will have plenty of parties. the first picture is really the last picture of Micah and Drake playing with the remote control car on the pool cover. We also went to San Antonio for a horse race and Drake and Avery ran and ran and ran and ran. i was worn out but they had so much fun. Drake is loving his 3 year old self. So big and so smart. I can't believe it. Fisher is growing like CRAZY. She is so big and wants so badly to play with the other kids. She was so good during the party that I completely forgot about her! She was in her crib sleeping soundly through the cake and presents. Thanks to Lisa for playing photographer and also thanks to Zach for spending the weekend helping out.

we have almost finished our stay at Ruidoso. We made a short trip home for a follow up visit with the Gastro for Fisher. She does not have any physical internal problems but definitely has reflux. The only way to end the reflux is to do surgery and she is developing and growing so well that we don't want to do that. She is growing like crazy! She now weighs 14lbs 12oz and is 24 inches long. She has gained 2 pounds and 1 1/2 inches in 5 weeks. She coos and laughs and can hold her head up really well. A sweet baby even with all the crying and discomfort. We were able to increase her medication with the weight gain so she should be better. We have also been taking her to the chiropractor which also makes a huge difference.
Drake is also getting so big. He is just our little man for sure. He is eager to help and eager to please and loves to play tricks and tell jokes. We will be celebrating his third birthday just around the corner.
as soon as we get home after labor day, i will post some of our win pictures from this summer.
we all went to the first home Cowboy's game in August. Love love the stadium still. Fisher had her first plane ride and did very well and both kids were angels at the game. Drake is more involved in the game now and is completely smitten by the cheerleaders.
Until next time....

It has been so long since I have been able to update. Fisher is growing so big and strong. She was 12 lbs and 12 oz at 2 months. Everything about her is the opposite of Drake. She likes hot water, he likes cold; she has bad days and good nights, he had good days and bad nights; Drake could sleep through anything, she can't stand noise. crazy. We have taken her to what seems like a million doctor's appointments since we came home. Our wonderful chiropractor, Shawn Scott, has been working wonders with her. and we doubled her medication and those two combined seem to be helping a bit...at times. "this too shall pass" has become my mantra. As you can see with the pictures, Drake has been very busy. We finally had a family picture taken for the fourth of July thanks to Katie. The races have been going really well and still look promising. Drake spent some time at the fire station in Ruidoso and he was so entranced with it all he never took his tongue out of his cheek. He was able to push all the buttons in the engines and even spray the water hose. He loved it. We then went to Hannah Crenshaw's first birthday party where they shared cake and all her toys. Drake had his first sleep-over with Tio Tyler and Avery, Lyla and Bernadette. He lasted all night and didn't want to leave the next morning. We went back to Kerrville for Avery's third birthday last weekend. We always love spending time with them. The Earl's all love our children as their own and Drake is the president of the Earl fan club. We are home until Wednesday when we will head back to Ruidoso more or less until Labor Day. Fisher has a follow up appointment with the Gastro on the 25th, so we will be here briefly. Lots of big races to come and big sales to add to our family of horses. we have plans to meet lots of friends and family in New Mexico over the next month and are very excited. Also, Dallas Cowboy football starts the 8th! yeehaw!! Cant wait to make the first game at the stadium on the 12th. Hope you are all well. Keep us in your prayers and we will do the same. until next time....

Will give you an update primarily in pictures. Most of you received an announcement recently. Took me a while to get those out. If you didn't then you're not on my mailing list and I need to add you, so let me know. Fisher is growing big and strong. At her one month appointment she was 10lbs 7oz and 22 1/2 inches long. Still no immunizations until month 2, so we aren't passing her around much, yet. She is suffering from the same reflux that Drake has always had. fortunately we at least know this time around and are working on a remedy. It has been extremely difficult to manage getting anything accomplished. We can't put her down at all and she feels bad after eating for a while. This, too, shall pass! Started a new medication Monday that we are really hopeful about. We have been to Ruidoso twice since she was born and will return next week for a large portion of July. we have really been having good luck since Memorial weekend. Have managed 2 firsts, 3 seconds and a fourth since then. Drake is a super big brother. Still quite a mess and way too smart for his own good, but we adore him.
If you are due a thank you card, i apologize for the delay but I am making progress so please be patient with me! Micah and Drake spent Father's Day at the lake on the boat and we have all been playing in the pool and with our new water slide!
